Who can join Cubs?
Boys and girls aged 8 to 10 years of age.
When do Cubs meet?
1st Bedworth has two Cub Packs:
Tuesday, 7.00pm to 8.30pm – Hopkins Pack
Thursday, 7.00pm to 8.30pm – Walton Pack
Occasionally their are optional activities on other evenings and at weekends
How much does Cubs cost?
Weekly subscriptions for membership of 1st Bedworth is £2.00 per week for all sections.
This fee covers activity insurance, programme materials, badges and helping to heat, light and maintain the building. It is still payable even if a member does not attend a Pack Night. Please also be aware that activities outside of the Pack Night may be at extra cost.
What do Cubs do?
Cub Scouts have a lot of fun, learn lots of new things and take part in adventurous activities. They have the chance to gain badges and awards in recognition of the effort made by each youngster at their own level of development and understanding.
The programme includes a wide selection of activities with the emphasis on the outdoors.
Meetings are run by a trained, experienced, Cub Scout Leader who is supported by a team of Assistant Cub Scout Leaders and helpers who have all been vetted by an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.
What do Cubs wear?
As with the other sections of 1st Bedworth, Cubs wear a uniform to their Pack Night and to some other activities.
A smart green coloured sweatshirt,
Royal blue necka’
Black or dark grey trousers or shorts
Black, navy blue, or dark grey socks
Black boots or shoes
The sweatshirt is available from us and costs £13.50 The necka’ is presented free when the recruit is invested, and most Cubs wear their school trousers and shoes with their uniform.
