This week Scouts have a virtual meeting on Wednesday starting at 7:00pm. This week we will be continuing with the Skills Challenge Award.

It would be great to see you all on the virtual meeting on Wednesday. Those of you who can’t make the virtual meeting don’t forget you can still join in the challenges at home.

Congratulations to Harry & Leala who were winner and runner up of our Model Maker Challenge. Harry made a great scale model out of card of HMS Queen Elizabeth and Leala made a brilliant Hamster House. Both of our lucky winners have been sent an Amazon Gift voucher to spend.

Our current challenge is the Great Duvet Sprint. Lennon & Leala were joint winners of our online race last Wednesday, both with brilliant times. They have both been sent an Amazon gift voucher to spend. However the challenge is not over yet.

Completing the Great Duvet Sprint counts as one of the five skills required for the Skills Challenge. To take part in the challenge you need to learn and practice taking a duvet cover on and off a duvet. When you are ready you then complete this challenge against the clock. First of all take off the duvet cover, then start the watch as soon as you start to put the duvet cover on. Stop the watch when the cover is back on the duvet. Send your time and a picture or video of you competing the challenge to us. You can email it to [email protected] or text it to 07710113291. If you send us your entry before 9pm on Tuesday night you may be the winner of a £5 Amazon voucher.

Whether you are joining virtual meetings or not you can work on your Skills Challenge at home. Have a look at the activity suggestions that have been sent to you.

Read the Scouts newsletter for February to see what you need for the rest of the month.
