These are some challenging days and it’s the children like you who have led the way in helping to cheer us all up.
Have you been drawing and painting rainbow pictures to spread a bit of hope and cheer at this difficult time?
If so, please send in your brilliant rainbow pictures to [email protected] so we can share them with the group and make a massive rainbow collage to spread the hope message further. If you haven’t already done one, get creative and make one to add to the collage.
Do you have an hour to kill while your child is at a meeting night?
Can you spare 15 minutes at the beginning or end of a meeting night?
Are you wondering what to do some Sunday afternoons?
If you’re interested in volunteering some of your time then drop in and see what it’s all about! We’re looking for Parents who would like to get involved but don’t know where to start or even what to do! Everybody has a skill or a strength that we are looking for. All that’s missing from our Scout Group is you.
This will be a brilliant camp which will see Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and adults from most of the Scout Groups in Nuneaton District camping together for a weekend of fun and activities. Activities may include zip wire, pedal karts, archery, shooting, abseiling, climbing, kayaking , rafting, craft and much more. All of the meals will be cooked in a central ‘cookhouse’ by a catering team so that everyone taking part can have the maximum amount of time on activities. The £35 camp fee includes all activities, food and camp fees. Parents will need to arrange transport to and from Willesley Scout Camp which is in Leicestershire.
We are also looking for a number of parents who would like to join us for the weekend to help us with catering, activities and supervising the youngsters as our leadership team will be at full stretch helping to provide the many activities during the weekend. The cost for parents is just £15 to cover food & camp fees costs. Please speak to Woody for more information.

Beavers need to arrive at the Scout Hut between 9.45am and 10.00am. Please collect them from the Cenotaph at 11.30am.
Full & correct uniform must be worn and please make an extra special effort to ensure that uniforms are complete and especially smart. This year we will be supporting Nuneaton Homeless Shelter, which runs during the winter months from one of the Nuneaton Church Halls. We would appreciate if people could bring along donations such as new underwear and socks (mens and womens), warm coats, sleeping bags or non perishable food items (tinned foods, UHT milk, tea, coffee etc).
We hope to see as many members as possible as we all come together for the final group event of the year!
