This is a great weekend activity member for all Warwickshire Scouts to be held at Ragley Hall
This year our Christmas carol service will be on Tuesday 21st December!
This year we are donating to the Church Food Bank.
We hope to see as many members as possible as we all come together for the final group event of the year!
Please can everybody wear smart uniform. Christmas hats and other festive adornments are welcome!
Strategy is a multi-activity challenge hike consisting of 30 bases of varying difficulty and complexity set around our 3,000 acre site. The event will be held at Cirencester Park. Activities will also include a talent show, disco, competitions and some fun events.
Full & correct uniform must be worn and please make an extra special effort to ensure that uniforms are complete and especially smart. Beavers need to wear full & correct uniform including black, navy blue or dark grey ‘school’ trousers and plain black footwear. It is likely to be cold and as we will only be wearing coats if it is raining, it’s important therefore to wear extra layers of clothing under the uniform. Gloves can be worn if they are dark coloured.
Everyone is asked to wear a poppy.
Drop off and pick up from the Scout Hut. The hut will be open from 9:45am.
In 2023 in SaeManGeum Jeollabuk-do, Korea, thousands of Scouts will gather for the 25th World Scout Jamboree. Warwickshire plan to send 45 older Scouts and Explorers. The deadline for applications being received is strictly 9pm on 3rd November.
Nuneaton District Scouts are organising an international experience for Scouts and Explorers to Normandy, France, running from May 28th to June 3rd, 2023. The trip will be over 7 days / 6 nights.
After 18 months or so the Scouts finally have a chance to enjoy an overnight activity.
This camp is open to all Scouts in the group. We have an upper limit of 20 Scouts on this camp, places being allocated upon payment of the £25 camp fee. Please do not hesitate to speak to a leader if you have any questions or concerns about this camp, or if you have any difficulty in making payment.
On Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th September we will be camping overnight at Rough Close Scout Activity Centre near Tile Hill, Coventry. The camp will run from 9am on Saturday through to 4pm on Sunday. The cost of the camp is £25 which includes food, site fees and all activities.
The price includes all food, site fees and all activities. It does not include transport.
Unfortunately we cannot provide transport for this camp so parents or carers will need to arrange transport to and from Rough Close.
As well as camping overnight in tents and enjoying the other usual camp activities such as wide games, wood fire cooking, skill training and such like, we also will be enjoying four of the ‘onsite’ activities: Pedal car racers, Traversing wall, Crate Climbing, bp and the Cave Bus.
This is going to be a great camp with lots of fun & adventure.
We are currently not able to accept any cash payments. Our preferred method of payments are via bank (BACS) transfer. If you cannot do a bank transfer we do have an alternative cash free method available if necessary.
We are now accepting subs payments by BACS/standing order. If you would like to pay subs by BACS/standing order it must be paid in advance and we would suggest a payment of £10 per month. This will keep your payments on track, as with the weeks we are closed it will average out over the course of the year.
To set up to pay this way please put SUBS and your child’s name in the payment reference and email Luke at [email protected] to say that a payment has been made. We do still ask that your youngster checks in at the start of the evening, so that our fire checklist and attendance register is correct.
You can also pay for activities and camps in this way. Put the reference as the activity name and your child’s name and then email Luke once the payment has been made.

We held our AGM for 2019-2020 via a virtual meeting due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Here is a chance to earn a badge that you will be able to wear on your uniform and will only be available to members of 1st Bedworth. It will be a unique ‘one off’ badge. It will show everyone that you have been an active Scout during lockdown.
