Explorer Nights
Unless it says differently below all Explorer Nights start at the Scout Hut at 7.30pm and finish at the Scout Hut at 9.30pm. The Scout Hut will be open from 7.00pm and Explorers should arrive by 7.25pm. All Explorers need to wear full and correct uniform and bring a full change of old clothes suitable for wearing outdoors, whatever the weather conditions.

Subs payments
We are currently not able to accept any cash payments. Our preferred method of payments are via bank (BACS) transfer. If you cannot do a bank transfer we do have an alternative cash free method available if necessary.
We are now accepting subs payments by BACS/standing order. If you would like to pay subs by BACS/standing order it must be paid in advance and we would suggest a payment of £13 per month. This will keep your payments on track, as with the weeks we are closed it will average out over the course of the year.
To set up to pay this way please put SUBS and your child’s name in the payment reference and email Luke at [email protected] to say that a payment has been made. We do still ask that your youngster checks in at the start of the evening, so that our fire checklist and attendance register is correct.
Activity payments
You can also pay for activities and camps in this way. Put the reference as the activity name and your child’s name and then email Luke once the payment has been made.
Explorer Winter Camp 2019

We will be spending Saturday in Leicester City visiting the Boost trampoline park and the Treetop Adventure Golf. Sunday will be spent at the Scout Hut. If there is any part of the camp that you can not do, but wish to attend the rest, please talk to Meeky before Monday 10th Feb 2020.
Nuneaton Gang Show Visit 2020

Brownies, Cubs, Scouts, Guides and Leaders from Bedworth, Bulkington & Nuneaton will be putting on a fantastic variety show at the Abbey Theatre during March 2020. It’s the perfect evening out for the whole family. Come and join us to see the fantastic Nuneaton Gang Show for 2020.
1st Bedworth will be enjoying the show on Friday 27th March. Everyone will be meeting outside the Theatre at 7.00pm and the show should end by 9.30pm where everyone needs to be collected from the theatre.
Parents, family & friends are welcome to buy tickets too. Beavers who wish to see the show need to be accompanied by an adult who will also need to buy a ticket. Cubs, Scouts & Explorers can see the show without an adult and they will be supervised by a Leader.
To buy a ticket please pay at the ‘Subs table’ when you are paying Subs, or send a BACS payment to the usual bank details. Use your youngster’s name and ‘Show’ as the reference please. Tickets are selling fast for this so to avoid any disappointment gets your tickets ASAP!

District Camp 2020

Location
This will be a brilliant camp which will see Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and adults from most of the Scout Groups in Nuneaton District camping together for a weekend of fun and activities. Activities may include zip wire, pedal karts, archery, shooting, abseiling, climbing, kayaking , rafting, craft and much more. All of the meals will be cooked in a central ‘cookhouse’ by a catering team so that everyone taking part can have the maximum amount of time on activities. The £35 camp fee includes all activities, food and camp fees. Parents will need to arrange transport to and from Willesley Scout Camp which is in Leicestershire.
We are also looking for a number of parents who would like to join us for the weekend to help us with catering, activities and supervising the youngsters as our leadership team will be at full stretch helping to provide the many activities during the weekend. The cost for parents is just £15 to cover food & camp fees costs. Please speak to Woody for more information.

So what do the organisers say about this event?
Main Event – constantly evolving…
You told us that you want a challenge, preferably one that is a surprise each year, so that is what we aim to deliver. Obviously, it is really hard to describe a surprise, so what can we tell you? We have a 3,000 acre site and surrounding land to set a dynamic route of between 10 and 30 miles, and a crack team of volunteers from across the country to make it happen! Who knows what this year will hold, all we do know is that the Evolution main event will be brilliant fun and test your teams and individual physical, mental and Scouting skills.
The Rest of the Weekend
With Friday and themed Saturday night entertainment – including a DJ live bands and traditional fairground games and inflatables – there will be lots to keep you entertained!

Location
The cost of this camp includes Transport, food, camp fees, onsite activities, a and a day at out a theme park or similar. An exciting 7 night camp at Beaudesert Scout Camp in Staffordshire on the edge of Cannock Chase. We will be camping in Patrol Tents and cooking on wood fires and gas stoves.
The activities will include traditional camp activities such as widegames, tracking, backwoods cooking, campfires, team building and tracking. We will also be enjoying a number of the adventurous activities based on the site. On Friday 24th April there will be a meeting at the Scout hut for everyone who has paid a deposit so we can choose what activities we will be doing and where we will be going on the day out.
Back to Basics Camp 2020

Join us for a great experience of traditional scout camping on our Back to Basics Camp! This camp is open to all Scouts and Explorers. It will be held at Rough Close Scout Camp, near Tile Hill in Coventry.
Activities will include cooking on wood fires, shelter building and hammock camping.
