Activities for week commencing Monday 15th March

All of our Sections are running virtual meetings again this week! Explorers will be meeting every other week and don’t have a meeting this week. These meetings will be ran by your usual Leaders, at the usual time and we’re going to make them as fun and adventurous as possible!

Ann-Marie has also set an Easter Challenge for all of our members this week too! Take a look and find out what you need to do.

This week Beavers are going to be doing some activities around St Patrick’s Day. Here’s what you’ll need this week:

  • Paper plate (or paper/card)
  • Pens/colours
  • (optional) coloured paper (or plain)
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • String (optional)

Read the Beavers newsletter for March to see what you need for the rest of the month.

This week the Cubs are going to be starting to work towards their Physical Recreation badge.

Don’t forget about the challenge to make a bird feeder and to be as creative as possible. If you snap a pic and send it to us, we will enter it into a competition on Facebook and the winner will get a £5 Amazon gift voucher.

Read more about what we are doing, and what we have planned for the rest of March in our Cubs March Newsletter

Those of you who were able to join us on Wednesday night did very well on the International Scouting quiz. I think that some of us learnt that Google doesn’t always point to a website with the most up to date information!

This Wednesday we are continuing with the International badge. Don’t forget to have a look at the monthly newsletter and try and learn the simple phrases in three languages that you can find on the sheet in the pack. Please make sure you have a sheet of A4 paper this Wednesday.

Don’t forget everyone can earn our Lockdown Challenge badge whether or not you are able to come on Zoom or not. All of the details are on the Scouts newsletter.

As we have not had any entries yet, we are not setting a new fun challenge this week. Instead we are giving you more time to have a go at the challenge Woody set last week. The Challenge was to come up with a Lockdown Super Hero. Decide what powers your super hero will have. Either dress up as your super hero and take a photo, or draw your super hero. Send your photos or drawings to [email protected]

Please read the March newsletter to learn how you can earn your ‘Lockdown Badge’. You have March & April to earn this badge. You can earn this badge without joining in the Virtual Meetings if you wish. You will be able to wear this badge on your uniform and it will only be available to members of 1st Bedworth who earn it in the next two months.

Read the Scouts newsletter for March to see what you need for the rest of the month.

Explorers are not having a virtual meeting this week.

All members should have received an email from [email protected] with the information on how to join the virtual meetings. If you have not received the information please check your junk folder. If there are any problems, concerns or you do not have an email from us, please get in touch at [email protected] and we’ll do our best to help.
